Perris

Perris, a city in Riverside County, experiences regular traffic on I-215 and CA-74. Accidents in this growing community can impact local commutes and access to nearby outdoor attractions like Lake Perris.

Skydivers and private pilots have flocked to Perris and its local airport for decades; the California city of over 68,000 is sometimes called the “skydiving capital of the world.” Actively settled in the 1880s, Perris was built around a depot of the California Southern Railroad. Like much of California, Perris was built and sustained on agriculture. Perris’s farmers grew alfalfa, potatoes, and sugar beets. Today, Perris boasts a man-made lake and recreational activities like hot-air ballooning and skydiving.
