Covina is a small city with a lot of people. In the 2010 census, the population of our town was 47,796. Do you know Covina’s slogan? “One Mile Square and All There.” This slogan was coined because the total area of our city was approximately one square mile. It is Engineer Frederick Eaton who named our town. He was impressed by the way the San Gabriel Mountains surrounded the vineyards forming a cove. So, he took the word ‘cove’ and merged it with ‘vine’ to get Covina. Covina houses the biggest movie multiplex in the county of Los Angeles.
