Brea

Taking its name from the Spanish word for “oil” or “tar,” Brea is a city located in Orange County, one of the most populous counties in California. With over 39,000 people according to the 2010 United States Census, Brea is best known for its robust retail activity. Credit that to the huge Brea Mall, as well as a revitalized Downtown that belies Brea’s small-town charm with its big city-type opportunities. Brea is also known for its highly developed public art program, which has provided a model to other cities across the country.

Brea experiences high traffic from both residents and shoppers. Auto accidents are common on major streets leading to shopping centers and highways connecting nearby communities.
