Fremont

Fremont, a large city in the East Bay, is home to several key tech companies. Accidents in Fremont typically happen on I-880 and Mission Boulevard, major commuter routes.

Fremont is the result of a merger the five smaller cities Centerville, Niles, Irvington, Mission San Jose, and Warm Springs in 1956. Located in the southeast portion of the San Francisco Bay, it currently has a population of about 220,000 and is the fourth most populous city in the region. Its proximity to Silicon Valley has linked Fremont with the tech boom of the 1980s and 1990s, resulting in a large influx of tech companies. The first Apple factory, for example, was in Fremont. It is also home to the cutting-edge electric car company Tesla and the Tesla Factory.
With its booming industry and temperate Mediterranean climate, Fremont’s population has grown every year for the last four decades and shows no sign of stopping. With the advent of recreational locations like the Don Edwards National Wildlife Refuge and Aqua Adventure, it is increasingly the target of new families looking for a permanent place to settle down.
