The crash occurred around 7:04 a.m. on North Fremont Street near Ramona Avenue, where 52-year-old Charles Eugene Porter II was hit by a car.
The pedestrian succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Authorities said the motorist had the right of way and that the incident was an accident.
