Spokane, Washington (September 6, 2023) – Two people were hurt when their car was hit by a suspected DUI driver in Spokane on Tuesday night, according to the Spokane police.

The accident happened on South Perry Street near 30th Avenue on Tuesday, September 5.

Police said a man was driving a car when he failed to stop for a stop sign and collided with a Toyota pickup truck traveling southbound on Perry Street.

The truck rolled over following the accident and the two occupants inside were trapped.

Firefighters responded to the scene and extricated the trapped parties.

The two were hospitalized with minor injuries.

The driver of the car was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
