Chavez was crossing 22nd Street when a white 2014 Dodge Charger traveling westbound struck her.

Tucson, Ariz. – 46-year-old Sarah Maria Chavez has been identified as the woman who was struck and killed by a vehicle at an intersection in Tucson on Tuesday morning.
According to the Tucson Police Department, the fatal pedestrian accident happened at around 6:30 a.m. at S. Park Avenue and E. 22nd Street.
Chavez was crossing 22nd Street when a white 2014 Dodge Charger traveling westbound struck her.
Chavez was killed in the collision.
The driver of the Dodge stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Police say the driver had no valid license at the time of the accident.
The accident remains under investigation.
