Pedestrian Severely Hurt in Eugene Pedestrian Crash on Highway 99

Eugene, Oregon (October 30, 2023) – A male pedestrian was struck and injured by a car in Eugene early Monday morning.

According to the Eugene Police Department, the incident was reported at around 5:16 a.m. in the 1300 block of Highway 99 between Pattison and Fairfield.

A truck struck a pedestrian in unclear circumstances.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The name of the victim was not immediately disclosed.

The truck's driver stayed at the crash site and cooperated with the officers.

The Eugene Police Major Collision Investigation team is investigating the incident.
