Miguel Lopez Hurt in Deadly Yuba County Accident on Marysville Road

Yuba County, California (November 6, 2023) – Miguel Lopez, 19, of Browns Valley, was injured in a deadly car accident in Yuba County early Monday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash took place on Marysville Road north of Everglade Trail at about 3:43 a.m.
The CHP said Lopez was driving a 2013 silver Chrysler 300 northbound on Marysville Road when he collided head-on with a 2006 silver Toyota Prius that was driven by a 26-year-old Oakland man.
The Oakland man, who was not wearing a seatbelt, died in the crash.
Lopez was wearing a seatbelt and was transported to Adventist Health/Rideout Hospital in Marysville for treatment of serious injuries.
The CHP is investigating the crash.
