Michael Mena Killed in Tucson Crash on 12th Avenue
Tucson, Arizona (November 8, 2023) – Michael Mena, 65, was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Tucson on Sunday night, according to the Tucson Police Department.
The collision happened on 12th Avenue and Valencia Road at about 10 p.m. on November 5.
Police said Mena was crossing the street mid-block with another pedestrian when he was hit by a vehicle.
Mena was rushed to Banner University Medical Center with major injuries and he later died at the hospital.
The driver, Jesus Enrique Camacho, 18, reportedly fled the scene after the crash.
He was later arrested and was booked into the Pima County Jail for hit-and-run causing injury/death.
The crash is under investigation.
