Atwater, California (September 18, 2023) – At least one person was severely hurt in a two-vehicle collision that happened Sunday evening in Atwater, the California Highway Patrol said.

Police received reports of the accident around 8:08 p.m. in the 11983 block of Longview Avenue near Dwight Way.

A white Honda and a green pickup truck collided under unclear circumstances.

First responders found the pickup off the roadway in a backyard with front-end damage. The Honda also had sustained front-end damage.

At least one person suffered severe injuries in the accident, as per the report.

Both vehicles were towed away from the collision.

Officers are investigating the accident.
