James Street Dies in Head-On Crash in Tillamook County

Tillamook County, Oregon (November 6, 2023) – 30-year-old Tyler James Street of Rainer was killed and Michael Julius Woodward, 67, of North Plains hurt in a crash Friday morning in Tillamook County.

Authorities responded to the deadly traffic collision at around 7:08 a.m. on Highway 6 near milepost 12.

Reportedly, Woodward was driving an eastbound loaded log truck when for unknown reasons a westbound Toyota Prius driven by Street crossed the centerline and collided head-on with the log truck.

Street was pronounced dead at the crash site.

Woodward sustained minor injuries.

During investigations, the roadway was impacted for about five hours.

The crash remains under investigation.
