James Johnson Dies Portland Accident on Northeast Lombard Street

Portland, Oregon – (November 2, 2023) – James E. Johnson, 64, was killed in a collision that happened in northeast Portland on Saturday evening, according to the police.

The wreck happened on Northeast Lombard Street and Northeast 33rd Avenue at about 6 p.m. on October 28.

An SUV and a pickup were involved in the accident.

Two people in the SUV were killed in the collision.

The victims were identified as James Johnson and Lisa T. Johnson, 60.

The operator of the pickup, identified as Jaylon Benjamin, 29, was arrested and booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center for Manslaughter, animal abuse and reckless driving.

The accident is under investigation.
