Paso Robles, Calif. – 40-year-old Felipe Tiburcio has been identified as the pedestrian who died after being struck by a car on Monday evening in Paso Robles.
The fatal auto-pedestrian accident happened around 6:40 p.m. in the northbound lanes of Highway 101 near Highway 46 off-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Tiburcio was walking in the area and was struck by a northbound Nissan sedan.
The Paso Robles man was transported to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center where he died while receiving treatment.
A passenger in the car suffered minor injuries but declined medical attention.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
