Chino, Calif. – A man was killed and another person was hospitalized following a head-on traffic collision involving two vehicles on Besnon Avenue in Chino Tuesday afternoon, according to the Chino Police Department.
The deadly crash happened at about 5:28 p.m. on Tuesday, January 9 in the 11400 block of Benson Avenue. north of Dover Street.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner, the victim, identified as Benjamin Orosco, 69, of Chino was pronounced dead at the scene.
Preliminary investigation revealed that Benjamin Orosco, 69, of Chino was driving a Honda Civic northbound on Benson Avenue when he crossed into the southbound lanes of traffic and collided with a Toyota 4-Runner operated by Cintya Rodriguez, 38, of Montclair.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner, Orosco sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Rodriguez was injured in the incident and was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
