Darlington, Washington (September 27, 2023) – Three people were hospitalized after a head-on collision that happened Tuesday evening in Darrington, the Washington State Patrol reported.

The wreck occurred on Highway 530 at milepost 34, near Oso Loop Road.

Authorities said two vehicles collided head-on.

Three people were injured in the crash. One patient was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center, and two others were taken by ground ambulance to Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett.

The cause of the crash was not immediately established.

Traffic in the area was being diverted following the accident.
