2 Hospitalized After Chula Vista Crash on Interstate 805 near Bonita Road
Chula Vista, California (July 3, 2023) – Two people were hospitalized after a Tesla and an SUV were involved in a rear-end collision Saturday afternoon in Chula Vista.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the wreck took place at about 4:46 p.m. on southbound Interstate 805 near Bonita Road.
An SUV rear-ended a white Tesla for an unknown reason.
Emergency personnel transported a passenger of the Tesla and the driver of the SUV to UCSD Medical Center with minor injuries.
The Tesla acquired major rear-end damage, and the SUV sustained major front-end damage.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
