Child Injured in Desert Hot Springs Crash on Palm Drive and Yucca Drive

Desert Hot Springs, California (October 30, 2023) – A child was among two people injured in a traffic collision in Desert Hot Springs on Monday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash happened shortly before 2:45 p.m. on Palm Drive and Yucca Drive.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a white Subaru was traveling north on Palm Drive when the driver swerved into the southbound side and crashed head-on with an oncoming Toyota pickup truck.

Two people, including a 10-year-old, were taken to a hospital with serious to major injuries.

Medics evaluated a third person at the scene but the party was not transported.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
