A pedestrian died after being hit by a car on Grapefruit Boulevard in Indio
Indio, Calif. – A pedestrian died after being struck by a car in Indio on Thursday night, authorities said Friday.
At around 11:35 p.m., the California Highway Patrol responded to reports of a pedestrian accident in the 54000 block of Grapefruit Boulevard.
A pedestrian was reportedly struck by a car on the highway in unclear circumstances.
The victim was killed in the collision.
The identity of the deceased person was not immediately disclosed.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
