One Killed in Sacramento County Crash on River Road
Sacramento County, California (July 1, 2023) – One person was killed in a traffic crash south of Hood in Sacramento County on Friday evening, according to the authorities.
The incident took place at around 7:30 p.m. June 30, on River Road.
The California Highway Patrol said a suspected DUI driver veered into the path of oncoming traffic on River Road, causing other drivers to swerve out of the way to avoid a head-on collision.
One of the drivers crashed in the process and was killed in the accident.
The driver who swerved into the oncoming lane was arrested on suspicion of DUI causing injury or death.
The crash is under investigation.
