, CA – Two people are dead following a two-vehicle crash at an intersection in Jurupa Valley early Saturday morning, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies responded to the scene and found two cars blocking the eastbound lanes of Limonite, west of Beach.

Authorities said one of the vehicles – a operated by Bryan Cruz-Arenas from Jurupa Valley – had several unrestrained passengers at the time of the crash.

Investigators said two passengers in the van, identified as Sabrina De Lara, 18, of and Javier Rios, 24, of Jurupa Valley, were killed in the crash.

Both drivers and all the other passengers in the van were transported to a hospital with unspecified injuries.

Deputies said Cruz-Arenas was driving under the influence. The driver was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center on suspicion of two counts of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and one count of driving under the influence causing death or injury.

The incident remains under investigation.
