Pomona, CA.- A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle in Pomona early Wednesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident took place on the San Bernardino (10) Freeway at the White Avenue off-ramp at about 3:37 a.m.
A white vehicle was reportedly traveling westbound on the freeway when it hit a pedestrian and left the scene.
The unidentified pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The westbound lanes were shut down as authorities worked to clear the scene.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
