According to the report, a man walking in a marked crosswalk was reportedly struck by a dark-colored sedan heading east on Ocean Boulevard

Long Beach, CA.- A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash that happened in Long Beach on Saturday night, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
The incident took place at about 9:30 p.m. June 21, in the area of Ocean Boulevard and Falcon Avenue.
According to the report, a man walking in a marked crosswalk was reportedly struck by a dark-colored sedan heading east on Ocean Boulevard.
The driver then fled the scene after the collision.
A 2016 BMW X3 and another dark-colored sedan also hit the pedestrian lying in the roadway.
The driver of the second sedan also fled but the operator of the BMW remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The pedestrian died at the scene.
Speed and distracted driving are suspected to have played a role in the incident, the LBPD reported.
The accident remains under investigation.
