Sacramento, CA.- A pedestrian walking a dog at the parking lot of a Home Depot in Sacramento was killed when they were hit by a vehicle on Wednesday morning, according to the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District.
The crash happened at 5800 Antelope Road at about 4:30 a.m.
According to the report, the pedestrian and the dog were reportedly hit by a vehicle whose driver fled the scene after the accident.
The pedestrian and the dog were both pronounced deceased at the scene.
The authorities are conducting an investigation into the collision.
