The incident occurred around 8:50 p.m. on westbound Highway 12, just a mile east of Highway 29.
A vehicle went about 15 feet off the roadway for an unknown reason.
One person was killed in the accident.
Investigators closed westbound Highway 12 west of Kirkland Ranch Road following the accident.
