San Bernardino County, CA. – A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a traffic collision that took place Wednesday morning on a freeway in Essex, an unincorporated community in San Bernardino County.
The incident occurred around 11:13 a.m. on westbound Interstate 40 at mile marker 82.5 near Kelbaker Road.
A motorcycle and at least two cars were involved in the collision.
The motorcyclist was thrown from the bike onto the roadway.
The rider suffered major injuries in the accident. An air ambulance was dispatched to the scene to transport the victim to the hospital.
Authorities are investigating to determine the cause of the collision.
