Hemet, CA – A bicyclist who was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Hemet Saturday evening has been identified, according to the police.
The Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner identified the victim as 75-year-old Kenneth Lauer of Hemet
The deadly accident occurred around 5:35 p.m., June 28, in the area of Domenigoni Parkway and State Street.
Lauer was riding a bicycle on Domenigoni when he was struck by an eastbound vehicle.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hemet, CA – A bicyclist was killed Saturday evening in a hit-and-run accident in Hemet, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Office.
The deadly accident occurred around 5:36 p.m. on June 28, in the area of Domenigoni Parkway and State Street.
Police said a man was riding a bicycle on Domenigoni when he was struck by an eastbound vehicle.
The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle fled the scene after the accident. Officers located the driver and tried to pull the vehicle over, but the driver refused to yield and was pursued by the officers.
The driver was arrested and booked into the Riverside County Jail.
Police believe intoxication was a factor in the accident.
The accident closed Domenigoni Parkway from State Street to Searl Parkway for several hours.
The police are investigating the accident.
