A car and a truck collided, with the impact sending the truck off the roadway and onto a sidewalk
Olympia, WA. – Two pedestrians who died after being hit by a truck that careened onto a sidewalk in Olympia on Wednesday evening have been identified.
The fatal pedestrian accident happened in the area of Fifth Avenue and Simmons Street near Capitol Lake at around 5 p.m.
A car and a truck collided with the impact, sending the truck off the roadway and onto a sidewalk where it struck 71-year-old Joy Ezindu, of Tumwater, and 62-year-old Carla Gonzales, of Olympia.
Both women died at the accident scene.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
