Tehachapi, CA – One person is dead and another is injured following a wrong-way traffic collision on Highway 58 near Tehachapi Wednesday afternoon.
The deadly crash happened at about 1:31 p.m. on June 18, 2025, on Highway 58, west of Highway 202.
According to CHP, a female driver is suspected of driving a Jeep the wrong way in the eastbound lanes of Highway 58, west of Highway 202 when she collided with an eastbound Ram 1500.
The wrong-way driver was killed in the crash
The second driver was transported to Kern Medical Center with unspecified injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
