Motorcyclist Killed After Slamming into Parked Car in Long Beach Identified

, CA. – The County Office of Medical Examiner identified the motorcyclist who died after colliding into a parked vehicle early Wednesday morning in Long Beach as 40-year-old Douglas Dague Jr.

The wreck took place around 12:28 a.m. on Clark Avenue, just north of Conant Street near Rosie the Riveter Park.

Police officers and firefighters responded to the scene and found a 2009 Kymco Venox motorcycle and a 2016 Dodge Dart involved in the crash.

Dague Jr. was found lying down in the northbound lanes of Clark Avenue. The firefighters pronounced him dead at the scene.

A preliminary investigation revealed that Dague Jr. was riding the bike north on Clark Avenue when he crashed into the car parked on the east curb.

Authorities ruled out impairment and distracted driving as contributing factors but are investigating speed as a potential contributor.
