Cosmo Silverman Dies After Being  Pinned Between Cars at Studio City Private School Parking Lot

Studio City, CA – The authorities have released the name of a 15-year-old Hall student who died following a crash at a parking lot in the Episcopal school Wednesday afternoon.

The deceased student has been identified as Cosmo Silverman.

According to the Fire Department, the deadly crash happened in the school's parking lot in the 4500 block of  Laurel Canyon Boulevard.

Authorities said Silverman was pinned between a Rivian SUV and another vehicle. It was not immediately clear why the SUV moved forward and struck the student.

Silverman was rushed to the hospital in grave condition and was later pronounced dead.

Studio City, CA – A 15-year-old student died after he got pinned between two cars in an accident that happened Wednesday afternoon in a parking lot at a parking lot in Campbell Hall School in Studio City.

According to authorities, the incident occurred just after 3 p.m. in the carpool lane of the private school located in the 4533 block of Laurel Canyon Boulevard.

The Los Angeles Police Department, the Los Angeles Fire Department, and other emergency personnel responded to the scene.

The teen was reportedly walking between a green Rivian SUV and another car when the Rivian drove forward and crushed him between the vehicles.

The student and his uninjured father, who had come to pick him up, were taken to a nearby hospital. The boy later died from his injuries.

The crash also caused a chain reaction involving several other cars.

Five other victims, including two minors and three adults, were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Investigators are working to determine what caused the driver of the Rivian to drive forward.

Members from the Mayor's Crisis Response Team responded to the scene to offer emotional support and recovery assistance.

Another student was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

The authorities are working to determine the cause of the collision.
