Glendale, AZ.- A child was hospitalized with serious injuries after being hit by a vehicle while riding a bike in Glendale on Friday morning, according to the Glendale Police Department.
The incident happened near 67th Avenue and Hillcrest Avenue at about 7 a.m.
A 13-year-old boy was riding a bike northbound on 67th Avenue when he was struck by a truck making a right turn from Hillcrest Avenue onto 67th Avenue.
The boy was not wearing a helmet and was rushed to a hospital with critical injuries.
The driver remained at the scene after the crash and cooperated with investigators.
The accident is under investigation.
