Chula Vista, CA. – 21-year-old Blake Todd was arrested after a DUI crash sent several people to the hospital early Thursday morning in Chula Vista.

According to the Chula Vista Police Department, a black BMW 335i occupied by four people was traveling eastbound when it veered off the roadway and struck a concrete pillar then overturned several times.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and found all the car occupants injured and the vehicle with significant damage.
Two women who were seated in the front and back passenger seats were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Todd, who was driving the car, and a man seated in the other back passenger seat sustained life-threatening injuries. They were taken to local trauma centers for treatment.
Authorities said Todd was arrested for felony DUI with injury before he was taken to the hospital.
CPD is investigating the collision.
