, CA – The authorities have identified the driver who was killed in a multi-vehicle traffic collision on Highway 120 in Oakdale late Wednesday night.

The Medical Examiner identified the man as Benjamin Paul, 48, of .

According to CHP, Paul was driving a 2024 Lexus sedan west on Highway 120 when he swerved into the eastbound lane and sideswiped a 2014 Kenworth combination and then collided head-on with a 2021 Chevrolet SUV.

CHP officials said Paul was rushed to Oak Valley Hospital where he later died.

Two passengers in the SUV suffered minor injuries. The other two drivers were not injured.

Oakdale, CA – A man was killed in a multi-vehicle collision in Oakdale on Wednesday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The incident occurred at about 10 p.m. on July 9 on Highway 120, west of Valley Home Road.

According to CHP, a 48-year-old Modesto man was driving a 2024 Lexus sedan west on Highway 120 when he swerved into the eastbound lane and hit the left side of a 2014 Kenworth combination.

The sedan then collided head-on with a 2021 Chevrolet SUV.

The sedan driver was taken to Oak Valley hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Two passengers in the Chevrolet were hospitalized with minor injuries.

No other injuries were reported.

The California Highway Patrol is handling the investigation.
