Daly City, CA. – At least one person died, and another was hurt in a hit-and-run crash that happened late Wednesday night in Daly City, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The incident occurred around 11:52 p.m. on the southbound 280 Freeway adjacent to 19th Avenue.
Five vehicles, including a 2024 Chevrolet Trax SUV and a white 2014 Ford Edge SUV, were involved in the collision. One of the cars fled the scene.
Police officers, firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene.
At least one person died in the crash.
At least one other person was transported to San Francisco General Hospital with major injuries.
Four vehicles were towed away from the crash scene.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
