The deadly crash happened at about 9:30 p.m. on June 28 at Adams Avenue and Cove Road.

Fresno County, CA – A woman was killed in a hit-and-run traffic collision at an intersection in Orange Cove on Saturday.
The victim was identified by the Medical Examiner as 38-year-old Amanda Maldonado of Orange Cove.
The deadly crash happened at about 9:30 p.m. on June 28 at Adams Avenue and Cove Road.
Authorities said Amanda Maldonado was riding a bike westbound on Adams when she was struck from behind by a Chevy 1500 truck.
The driver of the Chevy, identified as Rafaela Cruz, 41, fled the scene without rendering assistance of notifying emergency services.
Maldonado was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities said the bike was dragged about 120 feet from the point of impact but the Maldonado was not dragged. Investigators said she was not wearing a helmet but had a flashlight on at the time of the incident.
The suspect, Cruz, has since turned herself in and was booked into the Fresno County Jail on felony gross vehicular manslaughter charges.
The incident remains under investigation.
