, CA – A motorcycle rider who died after crashing on Angeles Crest Highway Saturday afternoon has been identified.

The County Medical Examiner's office identified the victim as 27-year-old Alexander Cox.

Cox was found with major injuries at about 12:07 p.m. on Angeles Crest (2) Highway near the Chilao Visitor Center and the Devil's Canyon Trailhead in Angeles National Forest.

Cox was pronounced dead at the scene.

Los Angeles County, CA – A motorcycle rider is dead following a solo-vehicle accident in Angeles National Forest Accident Saturday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The deadly crash happened at about 12:07 p.m. on Angeles Crest (2) Highway near the Chilao Visitor Center and the Devil's Canyon Trailhead.

The rider was located on the right shoulder, suffering from major injuries.

According to the CHP, the unidentified motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The northbound and southbound lanes of the highway were shut down at Mile Marker 50 for the wreck investigation.

No additional information was provided.
