Authorities said Alan Miller was driving a Toyota Prius northbound on Hwy. 291, when, for some reason, he crossed the double-yellow line and collided head-on with a southbound semi-truck.

Stevens County, WA — The Washington State Patrol is investigating a head-on crash that claimed the life of a male driver on Highway 291 in Stevens County Monday afternoon.
The authorities identified the deceased victim as 75-year-old Alan Miller.
The fatal collision happened at about 3:15 p.m. on June 9 on Highway 291 near Nine Mile Falls, according to WSP.
Authorities said Miller was driving a Toyota Prius northbound on Hwy. 291, when, for some reason, he crossed the double-yellow line and collided head-on with a southbound semi-truck.
Miller sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The impact pushed the semi-truck into the northbound lane where it struck another car as it came to rest.
No other injuries were reported.
The crash remains under investigation.
