Four people injured in car crash at Naches Road and U.S. Highway 12 in Naches

Naches, WA. – Four people were injured in a car accident near Naches on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the accident happened around 12:50 p.m. at the intersection of West Naches Road and U.S. Highway 12.
An 82-year-old Yakima woman was driving a white 2021 Toyota Venza when she reportedly failed to yield the right of way while turning onto Highway 2 and collided with a black 1994 Ford F-350 pickup.
The Toyota driver, 82-year-old Joyce Vandenburgh, and her passenger, 82-year-old Roy Vandenburg, both from Yakima, were transported to MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The driver, 18-year-old Mayli Martinez of Prosser, and a passenger, 19-year-old Julian Rivera of Sunnyside, were also hospitalized in unknown condition.
Two other passengers of the pickup truck were unhurt.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
