Clatsop County, OR – Two juveniles were killed and four other people were seriously injured following a multi-vehicle accident on Highway 101 in Clatsop County Thursday afternoon, according to Oregon State Police.

Detectives said a Toyota Tacoma, driven by Ian Granville Hix, 30, of Seaside, was westbound on 101 when it crossed into the northbound lane and collided head-on with a northbound Honda CRV, driven by Phyllis J. Harding, 76, of San Francisco, CA.
After the initial impact, the Toyota continued in the northbound lane and collided head-on with a northbound Nissan Rogue, driven by Charles Paul LeBlanc, 57, of Albuquerque (NM).
Two juveniles in the Nissan – ages 15 and 12 years – were pronounced dead at the scene.
Ian Hix, Harding, Charles P. LeBlanc, and a passenger in the Nissan Jennifer Lyria LeBlanc, 52, of Albuquerque, NM, suffered serious injuries and were all transported to an area hospital.
The highway was shut down for approximately seven hours during investigation.
The incident remains under investigation.
