Humboldt County, CA. – One person was severely injured in a single-car collision that happened Monday afternoon in Humboldt County.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 4:47 p.m. or earlier near Redwood House Road and Kneeland Road in Kneeland.
The circumstances under which the car crashed were not immediately determined.
One person suffered major injuries, including possibly broken bones and a laceration to the head. The victim was transported to the hospital by firefighters in unknown condition.
CHP officers who responded to the scene said several open containers of alcohol were found in the car.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the crash.
