Santa Maria, CA. – One person died in a rollover collision that sent a car into a restaurant parking lot Saturday night on Highway 101 in Santa Maria, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The wreck transpired around 9:15 p.m. on northbound Highway 101 near the Main Street off-ramp.
Authorities said a Dodge Charger hit a K-rail on the offramp and overturned, crossing Nicholson Avenue, and slamming into a pickup truck parked in the IHOP parking lot.
One person died in the accident.
Investigators did not immediately establish the factors that led to the collision.
CHP is investigating the crash.
