According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident was reported around 7:40 p.m. on eastbound State Route 98 near Barbara Worth Road, just a mile west of the Imperial Regional Detention Center.
Calexico, CA. – One person was airlifted to the hospital after a two-vehicle collision that happened Friday evening in Calexico.

The crash involved a Toyota Camry and a gray sedan. One of the cars overturned.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene shortly after the crash.
One person suffered severe injuries in the accident. Mercy 27 air ambulance was dispatched to the scene to airlift the victim to the hospital for treatment.
Authorities are investigating to determine the cause of the collision.
