The driver and a passenger of the Honda suffered major injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment
Monterey, CA. – A woman was killed in a multi-vehicle collision on Tuesday morning in Monterey.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly crash happened on Highway 68 between Canyon Del Rey Boulevard and Ragsdale Drive, at around 11:10 a.m.
A white Dodge Nitro was traveling west on Highway 68 and was unable to stop for traffic and crashed into a white Lexus SUV.
The Dodge continued into the eastbound lanes and collided head-on with a blue Honda Accord.
A 22-year-old woman riding in the Honda was taken to Natividad Medical Center where she died while receiving treatment.
The driver and a passenger of the Honda suffered major injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Dodge was also hospitalized with major injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
