Woman struck and killed by suspected drunk driver on East Travis Boulevard at Kidder Avenue in Fairfield
Fairfield, CA. – A woman died after being hit by a car on Wednesday night in Fairfield.
According to the Fairfield Police Department, the auto-pedestrian accident happened on East Travis Boulevard at Kidder Avenue around 11 p.m.
A woman was crossing the intersection and was struck by a westbound pickup truck.
Paramedics responded to the incident and performed CPR on the woman.
Sadly, the unidentified woman succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
The pickup truck driver, 44-year-old Angelica Medina of Suisun, was arrested on suspicion of DUI and booked into jail.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
