Battle Ground, WA.- A woman was injured in a crash involving a hit-and-run driver in Battle Ground on Sunday morning, according to the Battleground Police Department.

The incident took place on West Main Street just before 8 a.m. January 12.

According to police, a 45-year-old woman was walking in the area when she was struck by a vehicle.

The victim was rushed to a hospital with critical injuries.

The driver fled from the scene after the accident.

Police conducted an investigation into the incident and later arrested a suspect, Clarence “Butch” Holt II, 59, in connection with the crash.

Holt was booked into the Clark County Jail on charges of hit-and-run.

An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
