Thurston County, WA.- A woman was injured in a crash that happened in Thurston County on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The incident took place on Highway 101 at Holiday Valley Drive, just before 2:30 p.m. January 21.

According to WSP, a 64-year-old Olympia woman was driving a Mazda utility vehicle south on US 101 when she tried to turn left onto Holiday Valley Drive and was rear-ended by a blue Chevy pickup truck driven by a 37-year-old Olympia man.

The woman was taken to MultiCare Capital Medical Center with unspecified injuries.

The other driver was unhurt and was accused of DUI and vehicular assault.

Part of the highway was shut down as authorities investigated the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
