Minor Injuries Sustained in Walnut Creek Collision on Interstate 680 near Rudgear Road Off-Ramp
Walnut Creek, California (August 15, 2021) – Minor injuries were sustained in a Walnut Creek collision that occurred Saturday afternoon on Interstate 680, the California Highway Patrol said.
The pileup was reported at around 3:00 p.m. in the northbound lanes, just south of the Rudgear Road off-ramp.
The wreck involved a gray Infiniti, a white Jeep, and a silver Lexus.
The report did not mention the cause or manner of the collision.
The Toyota had its airbags deployed in the wreck.
Emergency crews responded to the crash scene to help the motorists.
As per the report, only minor injuries were sustained in the accident. An ambulance was dispatched to the scene to provide medical aid.
CHP is investigating to determine the factors that may have led to the collision.
