, California (August 22, 2021) – One person was hospitalized with serious injuries after being involved in a traffic collision at an intersection in Ventura Friday afternoon.

A black Corvette reportedly crashed head-on with a white Pontiac near Telephone Road and Olivas Park Drive at approximately 2:42 p.m.

The California Highway Patrol did not immediately establish how the two vehicles collided at the Ventura intersection near the Olivas Links golf course.

Due to the impact, both automobiles acquired front-end damage.

Ventura 2-Vehicle Accident

The crash resulted in major injuries to one unidentified person. The victim was attended to by paramedics before being transported to an area hospital for further medication.

Officials shut down the intersection as they investigated and cleared the scene.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
