Clark County, WA.- A man from Vancouver was hit and killed by a vehicle in Clark County on Friday afternoon, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The crash happened on State Route 500 near milepost 10, just after 5 p.m. December 27.
According to the report, a 53-year-old man was standing in the roadway when he was struck by a westbound vehicle driven by a 20-year-old Yacolt resident.
After the accident, the car slammed into a tree and ended up in a ditch.
The pedestrian was killed in the crash.
The driver of the vehicle was uninjured.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
